Oklahoma megachurch leader resigns because of infidelity

The founder of one of Oklahoma’s multi-site megachurches has resigned as senior pastor following a confession of infidelity, a church leader said Thursday.

The Rev. Mark Crow resigned Tuesday “after confessing to marital unfaithfulness,” according to a prepared statement from the Rev. Dale Swanson, executive pastor of the church.

“The Victory Church family and staff are praying for Mark, that the same grace we all experience and draw comfort from in our own spiritual journey, will be ever present in Mark’s transition to healing and wholeness,” Swanson said in the statement.

Crow, a televangelist, is widely known because of his connection to Oral Roberts University as one of its higher-profile graduates. He and his wife, Jennifer, founded the nondenominational Victory Church in 1994, according to the church’s website.

Victory Church’s main campus is at 4300 N MacArthur in Warr Acres with satellite campuses in Edmond, Norman and the African nation of Lesotho. An Hispanic satellite, Victory Iglesia, is in Warr Acres.
