An Oklahoma State University wrestler was jailed on complaints of possession of cocaine and public drunkenness the day his team placed third at the NCAA Wrestling Championships in Oklahoma City.
Oklahoma City police arrested Edward Klimara, 20, about 12:30 a.m. Saturday at Redneck Yacht Club, 4720 W Interstate 40 Service Road, after a man told police he saw Klimara with a small bag containing a white powdery substance in the club’s restroom.

Police confiscated the substance upon arrival. Tests showed the powder was cocaine and measured 0.21 grams, according to a police report.
Police said Klimara smelled of alcohol, was unsteady on his feet and had slurred speech. Klimara told officers he had a few beers and had not partied since October 2013 because he was training for wrestling, according to the report.
Klimara, a sophomore 125-pound wrestler for Oklahoma State, was the Big 12 runner up in his weight class. He went 3-2, falling one win short of becoming an all-american at the NCAA Wrestling Championships at Chesapeake Energy Arena. The Cowboys placed third overall Saturday behind the University of Minnesota and Penn State University.
