Chess tournament set for Kamp's

The Challengers Chess Club will host a 4-Round Swiss System chess tournament on May 26 at Kamp's 1910 Cafe, 10 NE 10.

The tournament will include three sections:

1.) The Open section with a $250 prize amount and a G/45; d5 time control that will be U.S. Chess Federation rated.

2.) A U1600 section with a $150 prize amount and a G/45; d5 time control and USCF Rated.

3.) A U1000 section with a $60 prize amount and a G/30; d5 time control that will be Chess eXpress Ratings Rated.

Prize amounts will be based on a minimum of 40 paid entries.

The entry fee is $20. There will be on-site registration from 8 to 9:30 a.m. May 26. Smoking will not be allowed, and the venue is wheelchair accessible.
